Hello, crafty friends! Finally, finally (!) the Three Amigos stamp and die sets are back in stock over at the Make The Day Special Stamp Store (at least at the time I am writing this) and so I could not resist creating my first project with them. Since easter is just around the corner, and I was still lacking an easter card for a guy, I decided to go “not cute” today.
It was also great to get to use my Copics again as I’ve been dabbling a lot in my Stabilo coloring and Inktense pencils lately. I was surprised how good it felt to do some Copic coloring, it feels so “controlled” compared to other mediums 😉 That, and I just love to color critters that let me use my reds with dark shading.
Since this is an easter card, I drew some grass and easter eggs onto the paper that the fox is holding. I thought that was rather smart of me 😉 And since I had just gotten the die cuts for these stamps, I couldn’t resist die cutting the crumpled paper for decorative purposes. Without the dies, I’d never have fuzzy cut them since they are so tiny.
Since I wanted to keep this card from getting any cuteness overload, I used stripes of black glitter washi tape to the sides to add some sparkle. On the inside, I used the ever so useful Lawn Fawn Milo’s ABC to stamp “Happy Easter”. And that’s already it!
Hope you enjoyed the card! I’m sending it to the following challenges:MarkerPop which has an Easter themed challenge; Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes; IN(K)spire Me which also asks for anything to do with easter; and Addicted to Stamps and More “Make Your Mark”.
