I admit, monochromatic challenges are becoming my favorite – they force you to think outside the box – or inside the die cut, as is the case with my card today for the Colour Me…! challenge.
Overall, this card is very simple. I cut a front panel to size, die cut the star from it and then heat embossed the sentiment over and over in the little window that I had created. The only challenge was not to accidentally stamp further than what the front panel would cover – fortunately, that thought came to me just in time 😉
Once I was done with this step, I found that the card still looked a bit bland. The embossing gave it some shine, but not nearly enough for my taste, so I unburied my gems and added them to the tips of the star.
And there you have it – a rather simple monochromatic card with some bling. Easy enough to mass produce now that christmas is getting closer and those cards need to be mailed out 🙂
This is the last video in my Merry Card Series – I can’t believe I actually managed to create 14 (!!) videos … Thanks to everyone who took the time to watch, to subscribe, to thumbs up, and to leave comments. I cannot express enough how much motivation you give me and how thankful I am that you’re taking the time to stop by.
I’ll be sharing a few more holiday themed cards until christmas, but no videos since I simply don’t have the time right now. I hope you’ll stop by anyway!
