Today I’m sharing with you “part 2” of my Getting-Digis-Ready-For-Print-and-coloring-them. Whew, that’s a mouthful, try typing that! Anyhow, last week I showed you how to prepare digi stamps for print and I showed you two examples, a mouse and a baby. Today, I want to show you how I colored the baby card. And I also just bought a printer that’s hopefully compatible with my Copic paper – it’s slated to arrive tomorrow and I’m ever so excited to see if it will meet my expectations (I’ll blog about it if it works out).
When looking at the stamps that Gerda has in her shop and which would work well with the Christmas hat and scarf, I just couldn’t bypass this baby. I have to pat myself a bit on the back for the greeting – I think it’s pretty funny 🙂 It would work for someone who just had a baby to send out to friends and family announcing the child or maybe for new grandparents or aunts and uncles to congratulate parents who had a child around Christmas.
I finished it off by die cutting the image with the Mama Elephant Femme Frames, mounting it on a piece of brown card stock (yes, it was supposed to be a completely brown card base, but hey, look at the video to see why I changed my mind 😉 ) after I added some stamped stars to the brown piece. I used some stripe stamps to create my own patterned background on the card base itself then and finally glued everything together.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you are having a great start into the christmas season!
