I love archery. When I spent a year abroad in the US, I was lucky that my High School had an archery club where I could learn how to use the bow and arrow and I’ve missed it ever since (German schools are not big on extracurricular activities and later life kinda got in the way of that hobby).
Therefore, I was delighted with the new challenge over at Keep It Simple which is, you might guess it, “Arrows”! I had originally promised on Instagram to show 3 cards and videos, but when I looked them over the next day, I felt that I only wanted to show two of the cards. While the other one wasn’t horrible I felt it wasn’t on par with the rest so I’m only going to show this one and then another one in a few days.
I also could finally put my Paper Smooches stamp set to use which I had won from Make The Day Special a while ago.
This card was pure fun to put together, especially since I could also use my woodgrain background. I’m a sucker for woodgrain, so I was in my happy place. If I’d do that card again, though, I’d opt to go with card stock that’s more sturdy. It would make the arrows and the label appear more solid.
But overall, I’m pretty happy. What I didn’t get on the video is that I sprinkled some droplets of silver mist onto the background to add a bit more sparkle, you can see it in the still picture below.
Thanks for stopping by!
