Hello fellow crafters! I’ve been bursting with excitement for the past two months and finally I can share ‘the big news‘ with you: I’ve been invited to join the Design Team of the Colour Me…! challenge blog! (insert me jumping up and down and pumping my fist into the air)
It’s an amazing honor and I’m so happy we can finally get started. I’m looking forward to working with me new Design Team members, and of course all of you – I really can’t wait to see what you guys come up with!
One thing up front: the Colour Me…! challenge is about using specific colors on your cards. Neutrals such as white, black, grey, or even kraft can be used, too, as long as the challenge colors are obviously included. Now, the challenge specifies the colors in Stampin Up! colors, of which I don’t own a single one 😉 That means I’ll be trying to match the challenge colors the best I can with the inks that I’ve got. In case you don’t have a particular SU ink, check out my handy Ink Comparison Chart where I show which other inks come close to the SU brand.
Now, let’s get started! For my very first Colour Me…! challenge with the theme “Monochromatic” I created a video to show how I made my card. Read on afterwards for some comments and stills of the card.
As I mentioned before, I don’t have the SU inks, so I choose the color Raspberry Jam from Hero Arts; of all my inks, this is the one that comes closest. My other purples are much colder in tone, so I decided against using them.
