Having misused the printer at work to get some digi stamps on Copic compatible paper, I decided to get really ambitious and color in an entire image, background and all. Since I tried that for the first time, it doesn’t look perfect (not even close), but I still like the overall result.
The sentiment is from a beautiful set by Avery Elle called “Written in the Stars” and it just seemed to fit perfectly. I embossed it with white embossing powder – using black or silver would have been too stark or distracting on this card. I glued the front panel directly onto a piece of vellum and then 3D mounted it onto the card base, which I had stamped with a repeating background pattern.
Last but not least I added to generous layers of Wink of Stella clear onto everything that was yellow to make the fairy-tale creatures sparkle. Sorry for the blurriness of the image, I was still half asleep when taking the photo and my camera can only compensate so much for human error 😉
I’ll be adding this card to the following challenges: CASology #103 Glow (design:defined, using color to emphasize the theme of the card), MarkerPop #47 Anything Goes, and Crafty Cardmakers and More #119 Under The Sea.
