As promised, I recorded my first card making tutorial and got it up on YouTube. Please excuse the occasional glitch or my voice; I’m battling through a cold (still) and I think that every time I sneeze, I lose brain cells … at least that would explain how I feel 😉
Anyways, I went with a card design I’ve already showcased on the blog here, but now I’ve recorded the process and improved the card a bit.
I’d be delighted if you’d leave a thumbs up if you liked the video or leave a comment if you have any remarks or criticism (please be nice? 🙂 ). Knowing what you liked or didn’t will help me improve future videos (did I mention the next one is already in the works?).
The main change I made for this card was the die cut sentiment – instead of adhering just one layer with foam tape as I had done on this card, I glued a couple of “hello’s” together and got one thick, dimensional sentiment. Much better, because you can glue it directly onto the card and won’t see any foam tape peeking out.
Here’s the final card:
I made one more change after I finished the video: I sprinkled some water onto the colored area to make it a bit more interesting. It looked too bland before and I think the water sprinkles helped make it a bit more “lively”.
Hope you enjoyed and see you around!
