Finally gotten around to using the second Woodware stamp I won a while back in a challenge. And I got to use my new Ranger Mini Distress Tools with a Simon Says Stamp stencil. Ah, so much fun.
It’s a bit more colorful than my usual cards, but I just went with it; I feel cheery and happy and the colors reflect my happiness 🙂
I colored the flower with Prismacolor pencils and added some Candie embellies on foam dots. The sentiment by Wplus9 was stamped Versamark and embossed with Ranger Silver powder.
The background was created with a Simon Says Stamp stencil, Distress Inks and the new Mini Blending tools (loooove them).
I also die cut two butterflies with Clearly Besotted dies from vellum, then spritzed them with Mr Huey’s sprays. The white panel was die cut with My Favorite Things stax dies that leave this wonderful faux stitching.
I’ll be entering this card into the following challenges: Less Is More #165 “Lucky Dip” because I tied in both the circles and the butterflies from the inspiration; Creative Friday #99 “Punkte” because, well, dots!; Just Add Ink #209 “Just Add Layers” because of the layered front panel, the layered candies, and the butterflies; Little Tangles #34 “Masking” because of the stenciled background; and finally Keep it Simply #37 “Stenciled” – forgot than one when I posted this entry originally, it was too far ahead in my challenge calendar :).
