Everyone’s obsessed with Mother’s Day (and I will be too, in due time) but I’m also thinking about Father’s Day (which is celebrate the same month here in Germany). The Color Me #12 Challenge “Color Me Subtle” has given us a fantastic color combination which works great for male cards.
I used one of the techniques I learned from my Online Card Class course “Clean and Simple 3”: I stamped the background of the card with white pigment ink, let it dry, and then this white color acted as a sort of resist for the Hero Arts shadow ink.
The sentiment was embossed in gold embossing powder; unfortunately I don’t have an embossing powder in the colors of the challenge, but I think if I did, the color might not stand out enough to contrast and I didn’t want to use black or white for the same reasons (too much or too little contrast). Hope that won’t disqualify me from the challenge 🙂
