I think I can honestly say that I was never as inspired as I am right now – this Online Card Class “Clean and Simple 3” is just fantastic.
I tried again with the inlay die cutting and while I’m not 100 percent happy, I think I didn’t blotch it completely this time.
I first cut the center piece in white with My Favorite Things Rectangle stax – I love them because they have a pierced inner border, which is just delicious. I did the same with yellow card stock.
Then I used the Lawn Fawn Speech Bubble die to cut off parts of each previous die cut so I could layer them together. Out of the upper part, I die cut the Happy Birthday – and then the puzzle game began.
Seriously, I had no idea there were so many tiny parts I had to fit back in! I cut the Happy Birthday from white card stock as well, just inserted the white text into the yellow card and then had to fill in all the hole with the pieces from the yellow die cut I had done first. That did take a while 😉
Since I got glue all over the yellow card stock, I used some gold glitter spray to make the entire yellow surface shiny and covered up my mistake 😉
The little bee and the dashed line are from a Lawn Fawn stamp set – I stamped it first with Memento Luxe Dandelion pigment ink, but then colored over it with yellow and brown Wink of Stella Markers. Done 🙂
