This card was in the back of my mind since I took the course “Stenciled” with Online Card Classes. Spraying the background of the card and then using embossing paste over it seems to be right along my alley.
There’s a panel mounted on the card base which has been sprayed with Mr Huey’s and Stampin Up silver glitter spray.

On top of the embossing paste, I added a strip of vellum (not patterned paper because I wanted the embossing to show through) and then sponged a piece of white paper with the same Hero Arts Shadow Ink that I used for the star stamp at the top. I also added some spray on that strip of paper to match the overall style of the card. The sentiment and arrow, from Simon Says Stamp “Thinking of You”, were embossed with white embossing powder.
The star at the top is from a new Clearly Besotted Stamps set called “Superstar”. I added a smaller vellum star on top of the main star to add dimension and a small embellishment hides the little glue dot visible through the vellum.

Lastly, I added a couple of wood veneer stars to the lower right of the card because that space looked a bit empty. I pushed the wood veneer deep into my Versamark stamp pad to soak them in that sticky ink. Then I dipped them into my Ranger silver embossing powder and heat set the powder. Since some of the spraying on the card is in silver I wanted to continue with that color scheme.
