A quick and relatively easy card was the result of my crafting dash last night. I tried to use all my Wplus9 products which I can finally get here in Europe thanks to Make The Day Special in the UK.
I find that die cutting first and stamping later produces the best results for me. I used my Hero Arts shadow inks to breathe some life into the flowers and leaves. I love the Wplus9 products, especially these sets where you have a ton of tiny pieces that bring great results when mixed together.
I cut a window from a piece of wood patterned paper – thanks to my friend Ramona from ScrapStüble who graciously gave me one huge piece of that paper – with My Favorite Things dies. I inserted a piece that I cut from Bazill card shoppe card stock. You can see the beautiful perforated lines along the border. I masked off the white inner piece with some post it notes and then gently applied some distress ink around the border to enhance the contrast between the white and the wood pattern.
The sentiment is from Wplus9 Fancy Feathers and was stamped with Toffee VersaFine ink. The die cut flowers were adhered with glue and 3-D foam squares.
I also added a couple of flowers from Wplus9 Embroidered Bouquet with some bling in the center for additional detail.
Lastly, I used my Wink of Stella pen generously on the die cut flowers for some discreet shimmer.
I’ll be entering this card in the Wplus9 Step It Up challenge.
Thanks for stopping by!
